This student-favourite trip combines breathtaking nature, beach bonfires, and optional outdoor adventures like surfing and whale watching. Explore charming towns like Ucluelet and Tofino, hike coastal trails, and stand among the towering trees of Cathedral Grove. With two nights at a cozy lodge, daily breakfast, and a group dinner included, it’s the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. A bonfire with marshmallows and games on the beach makes it an experience you won’t forget!

Day 1: Langley to Campbell River

• 7:30 am – Coach & Guide arrive at Langley School Board Office

  Depart for Horseshow Bay Ferry Terminal
  Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay in Nanaimo
  Visit Coombs – A camera is a must item on a trip to Coombs, as on a good day, visitors might get a picture of the goats on the roof
  Trail walk around Little Qualicum Falls – Straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, west of Parksville, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting
  Drive through Cathedral Grove and see the ancient giant cedar trees!
  Hike the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet
  Check into Canadian Princess Lodge in Ucluelet
  Enjoy a group dinner (included)
  Bonfire and marshmallow roast on a beach near your hotel (weather permitting)

  Day 2: Tofino/Ucluelet
  8:00 am – Breakfast included
  Travel to the town of Tofino today!
  Free time to explore Tofino or participate in the optional whale watching tour (additional cost). Those who do not wish to whale watch can join their guide for an easy walk to Tonquin Beach and later explore the village of Tofino for lunch.
  This afternoon, you will have the option to participate in a surfing lesson (additional cost). Students not surfing are free to watch on the beach and play frisbee or enjoy free time in Tofino.
  Enjoy evening games and another campfire on the beach (weather permitting)
  Return to Canadian Princess Lodge after the campfire

  Day 3: Ucluelet to Langley
  8:00 am – Breakfast included
  Visit Long Beach
  Depart for Nanaimo after lunch (own expense)
  5:55 pm – 7:35 pm: Ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay
  Return to Langely at approximately 8:45 pm

  Recommendation: We recommend bringing $20 for lunches and $25 for dinners that are not included.
